The Graffe Quartet ranks among the best and most promising ensembles of it generation. It was founded in 1997 at the Brno Conservatory and has been very successful both on the concert stage and in international competitions. They have toured the U.S. only once but have performed extensively throughout Central Eurpoe and the UK. With the addition of pianist Michiko Otaki, the repertoire expands to include the glorious Quintet for Piano and String Quartet by Robert Schumann.
