Cast of 35 direct from Mexico City! Gran Folklorico de Mexico is a spectacular and vivid presentation of the authentic folklore of Mexico presented in fast-moving song and dance. Fantastic costumes and huge headdresses and with accompaniment by the exciting rhythms of the Mariachi band, the entire show is like a Fiesta!

Azteca – Young Aztec warriors announce the ceremony for the lighting of the fire and culminates with the sacrifice of the chosen maiden
Jalisco – These dances are accompanied by the world famous “mariachi” bands and include the world famous “Mexican Hat Dance”
Dance of the Quetzal – The Quetzal, a multi colored bird, is a symbol of movement and creation and the bird is considered a cosmic messenger and a symbol of the Catholic culture
Northern Scene – The polka, chotis, redova and watlz are mainly dances in the northern part of Mexico. All social classes dance them but it’s the humble people of the villages who are responsible for putting the life into them
Fiesta in Veracruz – This fandango dance is used during the patron saints feasts and uses the principals of the zapateado and the famous “La Bamba” where a couple times the bow with their feet.
Dances of Puebla – This dance features the costume of the “China Poblana” (legend has it that a Chinese princess who escaped hidden on a ship, brought it with her, and thus became the national costume) with it’s embroidery in precious stones of a thousand colors.
