The Little Angels

With 5,000 years of tradition inherited from their ancestors The Little Angels, an extraordinary ensemble of 40 dancers, aged 8 to 15, present beautiful vignettes and graceful glimpses of timeless moments drawn from Korea’s legends and folklore. They present Korean dancing and music in a delightfully entertaining manner that makes their cultural heritage inviting to the Western world.

Wedding Day – Colorful, elegant customs of ancient Korean wedding procession where the bride rides in a palanquin
Folk Singing with Kayakum – The musical instrument, the Kayakum, came down from the Kaya-Kingdow to the Shilla Dynasty, with a delicate and varied sound
Toy Soldiers – A tribute and celebrating the 100th year anniversary of Korean immigration to the United States
Hourglass Drum Dance – The bright rhythms of the hourglass drum and the grace of the hourglass drum dance brought vividly to life to this work
Doll Dance – The Lunar New Year is a time of great joy and festivity in Korea and one of the traditional games during this festival is dramatized in the Doll Dance
Chorus – Accompanied by their music director, The Little Angels breathe and sing together as one and they create lovely harmony through their own particular sound color
